Just looking at a picture of a puppy should put a smile on
your face, right? In 1952, Norman Vincent Peale told us that positive thinking
will make our lives much better. In his book, The Power of Positive of
Thinking, he said “The way to happiness: Keep your heart free from hate,
your mind from worry. Live simply, expect little, give much. Scatter sunshine,
forget self, think of others.” Powerful stuff, right? Imagine if we all lived
out Mr. Peale’s wish for us. The world would be a better place for sure.
Try these two steps to progress towards positive thinking
and happier living:
Step 1 – Practice gratitude. It’s
hard to be negative when you are always thankful.
Step 2 – Put others before yourself. If
you seek out ways to help others, it is difficult to focus on worry and
negativity.
Go forth and seek positive thinking and happier living!
